Hooooooly mack! Talk about going the extra mile. This guy (with some help) replicated a 100+ year old picture dictionary from start to finish. There were a couple different handmade versions of this book made, but the deluxe edition is something extra special:
“The Deluxe Edition of Pictorial Webster’s is printed in a run of 26 books lettered A-Z, each with finger tabs hand cut into the foredge of the book. Each sewn and bound by Johnny Carrera. I finally bound the first copy - it took two weeks and three all-nighters to complete. You can see images of it above [see link] - it has “chocolate” leather which is lighter in shade than the copy of the regular edition above. The finger tabs were not only a source of great anxiety, but they take forever to do. The price for this copy is $4600.00.”
